Welcome to Leah’s corner of the world where poetry and short stories glide through the air, off pages and off your screens to gift you with relatable pieces writing.

First let me introduce myself. Hi! I am Leah Yu and I am a writer. I am from a small town 30 minutes south of Boston, and yes I do have a Boston accent. I am also a high school English teacher at a local high school where I spend most of my days with 9th and 10th graders, reading, writing and sharing life.

I began writing when I was about ten years old, starting with a short story, handwritten in my best cursive writing. From then, I explored my high school’s newspaper, becoming managing editor, and continued to explore the literary world, taking creative writing classes, teaching abroad and getting a taste of other countries pieces of work, and more.

First and foremost, I am a proud aunt, daughter and sister. Second, I am an enthusiastic teacher who just wants to share her work with the world, not just her dedicated students.
